Rachael also graduated from Karen Pryor academy as a certified training professional. She works with A Dog’s Life GR to provide cooperative care training and canine classes.
Rachael is one of the only trainers in west Michigan to provide feline consultation through A Cat’s Life GR. She focuses on common cat issues such as inter cat aggression, inappropriate urination and destructive behaviors.
Here’s what Rachael has to say about the reactive wellness care we provide:
“What I love about reactive wellness care is that it requires you to think outside the box. There is no set protocol. Each patient must be treated as an individual. What works for one animal, may not work for another. When I’m with a patient they get my full attention. I listen to their body language and we work together to find what works best for that animal. Every animal deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. Even our reactive patients are worthy of this.”
Ares Lyons
LVT
Ares graduated from Baker College in 2024 with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She started at Reactive Referral Center as an intern, and decided to join the team after graduation. Ares has a passion for behavior and the nutritional needs of companion animals. She enjoys taking each individual pet’s needs into consideration. Whether that be by creating a customized feeding plan or by ensuring they are comfortable in a clinical setting, she will take the extra time to give each patient the best care possible.
Here’s what Ares has to say about the reactive wellness care we provide:
“I truly enjoy the level of care and attention to detail that goes into each patient’s treatment plan. At the Reactive Referral Center, everyone takes the time to ensure we are doing what is best for the patient because every animal is so unique. I decided to go into this career field because I have such a deep love and compassion for animals, and I believe that the reactive wellness that is provided here embodies that level of care. We take the time to understand the emotional and physical needs of every pet that walks through our doors, and to me, that is a crucial part of providing excellent veterinary care.”
